MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 2016 STANDARD

SQL Server 2016 Standard Edition offers improved availability and scalability with up to 24 cores. With modern reports, you can transform data and provide actionable insights. Use the open-source R integration for advanced analytics. This version of Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Standard is licensed per Server/CAL. Server/CAL licenses are worthwhile if you need few access licenses and can precisely determine the accessing users or devices. On the server side, one license is required per operating system environment (virtual or physical) in which an SQL Server instance runs. The number of installed SQL Server instances does not matter. With one license within a Windows Server instance (equivalent to one operating system environment), you can install and run multiple SQL Server Standard instances. The CAL part of the Server/CAL licensing model works similarly to Exchange, SharePoint, etc. User and Device CALs are available for different requirements.
